Founded in August 1962, the company started its activity with a small restaurant, having been demolished in 1971 to give rise to the first phase of the Inn with only 14 rooms. In 1991, its expansion began, quadrupling the service areas and rooms (in total 57 rooms). WHERE ARE WE INSERTED? The Hotel Estalagem da Pateira is located on the West bank of Pateira – “A Lagoa Adormecida”, in the village of Fermentelos, in the municipality of Águeda, slightly removed from urban spaces for greater tranquility. Fed by the small flow of the river Cértima, this is the largest natural lagoon in the Iberian Peninsula, with 529 hectares of surface.
